Grafton Railway Station is a train station in Auckland, New Zealand. It serves the inner-city area called Grafton. The station is on the Western Line of Auckland's train network. It has a special island platform which is a single platform with tracks on both sides. This platform is built in a trench, which is like a big ditch. You can find the station near where Khyber Pass Road and Park Road meet. Grafton Station first opened on 11 April 2010.

Getting Around: How Grafton Station Connects You
Grafton Station is a busy hub for getting around Auckland. It connects easily with many bus routes. This includes the InnerLink bus and other buses that travel along the Central Connector route.

The station is very close to several important places:
- Auckland Hospital: A major hospital.
- Auckland Domain: A large park and green space.
- University of Auckland: Its Grafton and Newmarket campuses are nearby.
Station Entrances and Accessibility
Grafton Station has four ways to get in and out. The platform stretches underneath both Khyber Pass Road and Park Road.
- Stairs connect the station to both sides of each road.
- The stairs on Park Road lead directly to bus stops.
- There is also a lift on the western side of Park Road, making it easier for everyone to access the station.
- The entrance on the south side of Khyber Pass Road is right next to St Peter's College. Students from the school can go straight to the platform without crossing any roads. Many students from the school use Grafton Station every school day.
Train Services at Grafton
Transdev Auckland runs the train services at Grafton Station. They do this for Auckland Transport.
- Grafton Station is part of the Western Line.
- Trains travel to Britomart in the city centre.
- Trains also go to Swanson.

During quieter times on weekdays, trains run often:
- 3 trains per hour (tph) go towards Britomart.
- 3 trains per hour (tph) go towards Swanson.

The Future of Grafton Station
Big changes are coming to Grafton Station when the City Rail Link opens. This new rail tunnel project is expected to open in late 2024.
- The Western Line will no longer stop at Grafton Station. It will use the new tunnels instead.
- The Southern Line will start using Grafton Station. It will travel between Newmarket and the city centre.
- A brand new "Crosstown Line" will also serve Grafton Station. This line will connect Henderson and Otahuhu.
A Look Back: History of Grafton Station
Grafton Station replaced an older station called Boston Road station.
- The new station is about 300 meters (or about 984 feet) north-east of the old site.
- It cost $3 million to move the station. This was done to make it closer to important places like the hospital. It also made it easier for people to switch between trains and buses.
- In 2014, the train tracks through the station were electrified. This means they were set up to use electricity.
- In 2015, new electric trains called AM class EMUs started running on the Western Line. These replaced the older diesel trains.
