Green Valley Lake is a cool spot located in Payson, Arizona. It is not a natural lake, but a special kind of lake called a reservoir. Think of a reservoir as a big storage area for water! Green Valley Lake is actually connected to two smaller lakes, all part of the beautiful Green Valley Park.
These lakes were built between 1993 and 1996. Their main job is to help refill the underground water supply, which is very important for the local area. This process is called "groundwater recharge."
