The Bristol & Bath Railway Path
The Bristol & Bath Railway Path runs along the edge of Greenbank. This path is a great traffic-free route. You can cycle or walk two miles into Bristol. Or, you can go 13 miles to Bath. It is one of the most beautiful cycle routes in the country.
People in Greenbank really value this path. It is like a long, green park. This is important because Greenbank is a busy part of Bristol. In 2008, local people worked together. They stopped a plan to use the path for buses.

Greenbank has good access to schools. Two primary schools are very close by. These are Whitehall Primary and May Park Primary.

Greenbank Cemetery
Greenbank Cemetery is a special place. In its far eastern corner, you will find memorials. These honor the people who died in Bristol during World War II. Some graves hold the remains of three generations of families.
Close by is a separate military cemetery. Here, you can find graves of British and Commonwealth soldiers. There are also graves of German airmen. They died during the war. Italian sailors killed in action are buried here too.
The cemetery was even used for filming. It appeared in the TV show Only Fools and Horses. It was shown as the location of the Trotter brothers' mother's grave.
Important Buildings
Greenbank has a few interesting buildings.
- The Elizabeth Shaw chocolate factory was once here. It was famous for its 'Famous Names' chocolates.

The Former Chocolate Factory
The Elizabeth Shaw chocolate factory stopped making chocolate in 2006. Since then, there have been plans to develop the site. In 2013, the Generator Group took over the factory.
