Henry Randall Baskett III (born September 4, 1982), known as Hank Baskett, is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Indianapolis Colts.

Hank grew up in Clovis, New Mexico. He played college football for the University of New Mexico. During his college years, Baskett was a top wide receiver. He also earned academic honors every year and All-Mountain West Conference honors in his final season.

In 2006, Baskett joined the Vikings as a rookie player. He was later traded to the Eagles that same season. With the Eagles, he had a strong first year, catching 22 passes for an average of 20.1 yards per catch and scoring two touchdowns. In 2009, Baskett played for the Colts. He returned to the Eagles in 2010, but was then released and signed with the Vikings again.

Hank Baskett also appeared on reality TV shows. He co-starred with his former wife, Kendra Wilkinson, on Kendra from 2009 to 2011. They later appeared together on Kendra on Top from 2012 to 2017.

Early Life

Hank Baskett was born in Clovis, New Mexico. His parents are Henry Randall "Hank" Baskett, Jr., who worked for the Air Force, and Judy Baskett, who works as a financial officer. Hank went to Clovis High School.

College Football Career

When Hank Baskett attended the University of New Mexico, he was a top receiver for their football team in 2004 and 2005. He received the Reese Leroy Hill Memorial Award as the team's Offensive Player of the Year during those years.

As a senior, he earned All-Mountain West Conference (MWC) honors. He caught 67 passes for 1,071 yards and scored nine touchdowns. Hank was also recognized four times for his academic achievements in the MWC. He earned a degree in General Management.

Professional Football Career

Playing for the Minnesota Vikings (First Time)

Baskett first signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2006 as a rookie. He was later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for another wide receiver, Billy McMullen.

Playing for the Philadelphia Eagles (First Time)

Baskett had some impressive games with the Eagles. He gained 112 receiving yards and scored one touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. He also had 177 receiving yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons. For these great performances, Baskett was named rookie of the week.

He finished his first season with 22 catches for 464 yards and two touchdowns. He was also named the 2007 special teams Most Valuable Player (MVP). In 2008, he played in 16 games and started six of them. He made 33 catches for 440 yards and three touchdowns.

In 2009, the Eagles released him to make space for Michael Vick on the team roster.

Playing for the Indianapolis Colts

On September 17, 2009, Baskett signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts. This happened after another player, Anthony Gonzalez, got a knee injury.

Baskett's team, the Colts, played in Super Bowl XLIV against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints won the game, 31–17. The day after the Super Bowl, Baskett was released by the Colts.

Playing for the Philadelphia Eagles (Second Time)

On March 12, 2010, Baskett signed a one-year contract to return to the Eagles. He was released again on September 21, 2010.

Playing for the Minnesota Vikings (Second Time)

On September 22, 2010, Baskett rejoined the Vikings. He played in eight games in 2010, mostly on special teams, and had one catch. His NFL career effectively ended in 2011.

Reality Television Shows

Hank Baskett became well-known for appearing on reality television. He co-starred on Kendra, a show that followed the life of his former wife, Kendra Wilkinson. This show started on June 7, 2009, and was very popular for the E! network. It had 2.6 million viewers for its first episode.

The show ran for four seasons. After that, it became Kendra on Top, which started airing on WE tv on June 5, 2012. This show also ran for several seasons.

Personal Life

Hank Baskett and his former wife, Kendra Wilkinson, have two children. Their son, Henry Randall "Hank" Baskett IV, was born on December 11, 2009. Their daughter, Alijah Mary Baskett, was born on May 16, 2014. The couple divorced in 2018.

Baskett lives in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.
