Hannah Grace (born Hannah Vivian-Byrne on June 4, 1993) is a talented singer and songwriter from Bridgend, a town in South Wales. She is known for her soulful voice and catchy pop and jazz-inspired songs. Her first full album, called Remedy, came out on November 20, 2020.

Her Musical Journey
Early Life and Training
Hannah Grace spent four years studying Jazz Vocals at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. She says her music is inspired by soul and jazz. Some of her biggest musical heroes include Aretha Franklin, Stevie Nicks, Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchell, and Ella Fitzgerald. While she was studying in Cardiff, Hannah was picked for the BBC Wales Horizons program. This program helps new Welsh artists get started and grow their music careers. During this time, Hannah performed at many music festivals. She also recorded a live music session at the famous Maida Vale Studios in London.
Starting Her Career
Hannah Grace joined singer Gabrielle Aplin on her 2013 English Rain album tour. After this, Hannah signed with Never Fade Records, which is Gabrielle Aplin's record label.
Her first collection of songs, called an EP, was titled Meant to Be Kind. It was released in July 2014 on Never Fade Records. One song from this EP, "Broke", was even chosen as an iTunes 'Single of the Week'. Hannah worked with producer Luke Potashnick on this EP. They have continued to work together on many songs since then.
Growing Popularity
Hannah released her second EP, Mustang, in June 2016. This was also a team-up with Luke Potashnick. After Mustang came out, the famous radio host Dermot O'Leary noticed Hannah Grace. He invited her to perform on his BBC Radio 2 show. There, she sang her song "Mustang" and a cover of "Rather Go Blind" by Etta James. She has also performed live on Michael Ball’s show on BBC Radio 2. Later, she returned to Dermot's show with Gabrielle Aplin to share their Christmas EP, December.
Hannah Grace has opened for many well-known artists. These include Hozier, Jess Glynne, Gabrielle Aplin, Orla Gartland, Seal, Train, Lissie, and Hudson Taylor. She has performed with them at shows and tours across the UK and Europe. In 2019, Hannah even got to open for the legendary Barbra Streisand at her Hyde Park summertime show.
Hit Songs and Collaborations
Several of Hannah Grace's songs have been played on BBC Radio 2. These include "Praise You", "With You", "Blue", and "How True Is Your Love". Her local radio station, BBC Radio Wales, has also played many of her songs often.
In March 2017, the global superstar Lady Gaga tweeted a video of Hannah Grace. Lady Gaga called her a "superstar"! In April 2017, Hannah released her own version of the Fatboy Slim song 'Praise You'. This song was chosen as the music for a nationwide TV and radio advertisement for Lloyds Bank. Hannah's version of "Praise You" has been used on many TV shows, including The X Factor. It has sold over 60,000 copies in the UK. More recently, it was used in 2020 for a worldwide Christmas ad campaign for Lancôme. This ad featured famous actresses Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried.
Hannah released her third EP, The Bed You Made, in March 2019. She wrote and produced this EP with Martin Luke Brown. It also included songs written with Laura White, Jessica Sharman, and Gabrielle Aplin.
In 2020, Hannah Grace released six new songs. In June of that year, she announced her first full studio album, Remedy. The album came out on November 20, 2020. Many different producers worked on Remedy. Most of the songs were produced by the duo MyRiot, who have worked with London Grammar and Aurora. Other producers included Luke Potashnick, Ian Barter, and Martin Luke Brown. The songs from Remedy have been streamed online over 7 million times!
In 2020, Hannah Grace was chosen as one of the new Virgin Money emerging stars. This program helps new and rising artists develop their careers.
