Hannah Maud Hart (born November 2, 1986) is an American comedian, author, actress, and internet personality. She became famous for her weekly YouTube series, My ... Kitchen, where she would comically cook food. The show was very popular and ran for ten years, ending in 2021.

Besides her main channel, Hannah also has a second channel where she shares her thoughts on life. She acted in and helped produce the comedy movie Camp Takota in 2014. She also wrote a funny cookbook that became a New York Times bestseller.

Early Life and Education

Hannah Hart went to the University of California, Berkeley. She graduated in 2009 with two degrees: one in English literature and another in Japanese.

After college, she moved to San Francisco. Later, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, hoping to become a screenwriter. Instead, she worked for a company in Manhattan, proofreading documents in both Japanese and English. After her YouTube channel became popular, she left her job to focus on making videos.

Career on YouTube and Beyond

Hannah's career took off with her creative and funny online content. She expanded from YouTube videos to live shows, movies, and books.

The Start of 'My ... Kitchen'

The idea for My ... Kitchen began in March 2011. Hannah was talking to a friend online and decided to record herself making a grilled cheese sandwich in a funny way. She posted the video on YouTube, and people loved it. They asked for more videos, so she turned it into a weekly series.

The show became a huge hit. By July 2011, it had 800,000 views. Many famous people appeared as guests on her show, including chef Jamie Oliver, actor Chris Hardwick, and author John Green.

In 2013, Hannah won a Streamy Award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy. The next year, she co-hosted the Streamy Awards with her friend Grace Helbig. Her show My ... Kitchen also won the award for best comedy series that year.

World Tour and Live Shows

In 2013, Hannah decided to go on a world tour to meet her fans. She started a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo with a goal of $50,000. She reached her goal in just a few hours and ended up raising over $220,000. This allowed her to travel across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Her tour was documented in a series called Hello Harto: The Tour Show. The show included vlogs about her travels and special kitchen episodes filmed in the homes of her fans.

Acting in Movies

In 2013, Hannah announced that she would star in her first movie, Camp Takota, with Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart. The movie is about a woman who goes back to her old summer camp and reconnects with her childhood friends. The film was released online in February 2014 and was later added to Netflix.

In 2015, Hannah and Grace Helbig starred in a new version of the 1970s TV series Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.

Hannah, Grace, and Mamrie made another movie together called ... 30. It was released in 2016 and is about a 30th birthday party that gets out of control.

Books and Other Projects

Hannah has written two successful books.
