Hannah Miller, born on October 29, 1996, is an American figure skater. She is well-known for her achievements in the sport. In 2014, she became the champion at the Ice Challenge. She also earned a silver medal at the Lombardia Trophy in 2014. Earlier, in 2012, she won a silver medal at the Junior Grand Prix Final.

Hannah Miller's Early Life and Family

Hannah Miller was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Kevin Miller, was a professional ice hockey player. He played for the National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks when Hannah was born. Kevin was also part of the 1988 U.S. Olympic ice hockey team. Hannah's mother is Cheryl Hudgens Miller.

Hannah has three younger sisters. Their names are Neysa, Braedyn, and Giselle. In June 2015, Hannah graduated from Williamston High School. She was the valedictorian of her class, meaning she had the highest grades. She earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. After high school, Hannah decided to study kinesiology at Michigan State University. Kinesiology is the study of how the body moves.

Hannah Miller's Skating Journey

Hannah Miller started learning to skate when she was four years old. Before focusing on figure skating, she also trained in gymnastics. For many years, her main coach was her paternal aunt, Kirsten Miller-Zisholz. They trained together in Lansing, Michigan, until June 2015.

Junior and Novice Success

In 2011, Hannah won the U.S. novice title. This was a big achievement for her at that level. The next season, she made her debut in the ISU Junior Grand Prix series. She earned a bronze medal in her first Junior Grand Prix event. She also won a bronze medal at the U.S. junior national championships.

During the 2012–13 season, Hannah continued her success. She won two silver medals at Junior Grand Prix events. These events were held in Austria and Croatia. Her strong performances helped her qualify for the 2012–13 Junior Grand Prix Final. This final competition took place in Sochi, Russia. At the final, she won the silver medal. She placed second in the short program and fourth in the long program. That same season, she competed in her first senior national competition. She finished 10th at the 2013 U.S. Championships.

Senior International Debut

In September 2014, Hannah made her first appearance in a senior international competition. She competed at the Lombardia Trophy in Italy. This event was part of the ISU Challenger Series. She earned a silver medal, showing her talent on the senior stage. In November of the same year, she won a gold medal. In June 2015, Hannah moved to Artesia, California. She began training with coach Rafael Arutyunyan. Her aunt, Kirsten Miller-Zisholz, encouraged her to make this move. In August 2016, Hannah announced another coaching change. She began training with Tammy Gambill.
