Harrington Place, sometimes called Herrington Place, is a small community in Cowlitz County, Washington. It's not a city with its own government, but rather an unincorporated community.
This quiet spot is located east of the city of Castle Rock. It sits right along the South Fork Toutle River. To get to Harrington Place, you travel about 19 miles (31 km) on special roads called logging roads. These roads branch off Washington State Route 504, also known as the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, after you pass through the community of Toutle.
Kids in Harrington Place go to school in the Kelso School District. This school district serves students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, with nearly 5,000 students in total.
Harrington Place is also quite close to a famous volcano, Mount St. Helens. It's only about 27.5 miles (44.3 km) northwest of the mountain. Mount St. Helens had a very powerful and damaging eruption on May 18, 1980. This event was one of the most significant volcanic eruptions in the history of the United States.
