Heathrow is a community in Seminole County, Florida, United States. It's not an official city, but it's a special area where people live and work. Heathrow is located in Central Florida, about 19 miles northeast of Orlando. It's also 38 miles southwest of Daytona Beach.
Heathrow is known for its large, planned residential area. This community has about 2,200 homes, many of which are in private, gated neighborhoods. It also has a business park called the Heathrow International Business Center.
The community was started in 1985 by Jeno Paulucci. He was a successful food business owner. Interestingly, the land where Heathrow now stands used to be a place where celery was grown. This celery was used in his company's American Chinese food products. Heathrow is also home to the main office of the American Automobile Association (AAA).
Heathrow is part of the larger Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area.
