Herrickia is a group of flowering plants that belong to the daisy family, called Asteraceae. You can find these plants growing naturally in the western parts of the United States.
About Herrickia Plants
Before modern science, all the plants now known as Herrickia were grouped under a larger plant family called Aster. However, scientists later used new tools to study the plants' DNA. These studies showed that Herrickia plants were different enough to be placed in their own separate group, or genus.
