Hiba Al Kawas is a gifted composer who has written many musical pieces. She has recorded her own music with famous orchestras. For example, she worked with the Dnipropetrovsk Symphony Orchestra in Ukraine for 21 of her compositions. She also recorded 10 pieces with the Kraków Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra.
In 2000, she took part in the Kraków Contemporary Composition Festival. Here, her piece Aspiration No.1 was played. Later, her composition Moments in Krakow had its first public performance at the same festival. Her orchestral work, Pleusis 1, has been performed by several well-known orchestras. These include the City of London Sinfonia and the Bolshoi State Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
In 2007, her composition Rou'ia fi Maa was first performed in Paris at the Opéra Bastille. This work included five instrumental pieces and three songs. These songs were based on Arabic poems. A short musical film called Noor - Lady Light also used her song Asra Biqalbi.
As a Concert Artist
Hiba Al Kawas is also a successful concert artist, performing her music for audiences. She has sung at important events like the Tyre festival in Lebanon.
In 2006, she performed with the famous singer José Carreras in Dubai. They sang a duet together from The Phantom of the Opera. In 2007, she sang for President Jacques Chirac in Paris. She dedicated her song O Liban soit sauvé! to him and to the memory of Rafic Hariri.
In 2008, Hiba Al Kawas closed the 5th Abu Dhabi Music and Art Festival. She performed with the Bolshoi Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
