Hickory Knob State Resort Park is a special state park in South Carolina. It sits right on the edge of Lake Strom Thurmond. Park Features and Facilities

Lake Access and Rentals
A boat ramp makes it easy to get your boat onto Lake Thurmond. Docks are available for visitors staying overnight. If you don't have your own gear, don't worry! You can rent canoes, kayaks, fishing rods, and reels. Just ask at the park office.

Besides tent and RV camping, you have other choices for staying overnight. You can rent a room at the park's lodge. There are also cozy one or two-bedroom cabins available. For larger groups, a rustic group lodge can sleep up to 13 people.
Golf Course
Hickory Knob State Resort Park also has an 18-hole championship golf course. It is a great place for golf lovers to play.
Guillebeau House
Inside the park, you can find the Guillebeau House. This old house is very important. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The house was moved to Hickory Knob State Park around 1983 to keep it safe. It helps us learn about history.
