Exploring Hideaway Bay
Hideaway Bay has a long, sandy beach right along the ocean. You can see Shoal Bay just off the coast. The only way to get to this quiet spot is by driving on Hydeaway Road. Most of the land here is used for homes.
A Look at Its History
The name "Hideaway Bay" became official for the town on 2 December 1989. A few years later, on 28 January 2000, the area around it was also officially named and mapped out.
Schools and Fun Activities
There are no schools right in Hideaway Bay. Students usually travel to Proserpine for school. Proserpine has both a primary school for younger kids and a high school for older students.
Even without schools, Hideaway Bay has a big Sports Park. This park is a great place for fun and games. It has a tennis court with a special synthetic grass surface. There's also an undercover bowling green with two lanes and a clubhouse where people can relax.
