Holland is a town in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 4,530 people lived there. It's part of the larger La Crosse area. A small community called Council Bay is also found within the town.

History of Holland, Wisconsin

Holland was first settled by farmers who came from the Netherlands. That's why it's called Holland! There's even a small community inside the town called New Amsterdam, named after a famous Dutch city.

Holland is a town with a total area of about 45.6 square miles (118.2 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 42.5 square miles (110.1 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 3.1 square miles (8.1 square kilometers), is water.

The town of Holland is located to the north and west of the village of Holmen, Wisconsin.
