Holliday Clark Grainger (born March 27, 1988) is a talented English actress. She is also known as Holly Grainger. She has acted in many TV shows and movies.
Some of her well-known roles include Kate Beckett in the children's series Roger and the Rottentrolls. She also played Lucrezia Borgia in The Borgias. You might also know her as Robin Ellacott in the Strike series. She played DI/DCI Rachel Carey in the crime drama The Capture. Holliday also starred as Estella in the 2012 movie Great Expectations. This film was based on a famous book by Charles Dickens.

Early Life and Education
Holliday Grainger was born in Didsbury, Manchester, England. Her grandfather on her mother's side was Italian. She started acting very young, at just five years old. A BBC TV series discovered her talent. As a child, she appeared in many TV shows and independent films.
Holliday went to Parrs Wood High School. After that, she started studying English literature at the University of Leeds. Later, she decided to continue her studies through the Open University.
Exploring Her Acting Career
Holliday Grainger's first acting job was in 1994. It was for a BBC comedy-drama called All Quiet on the Preston Front. After that, she got roles in popular shows like Casualty, Doctors, and Dalziel and Pascoe. She also played Megan Boothe in Where the Heart Is. She was Stacey Appleyard in Waterloo Road and Sophia in Merlin.
Major TV Roles
In 2011, Holliday starred in the TV series The Borgias. She played Lucrezia Borgia, alongside Jeremy Irons. The show was filmed in Hungary and ran for three seasons.
In 2013, she played Bonnie Parker in the TV mini-series Bonnie & Clyde. From 2017, she has played Robin Ellacott in the TV series Strike. This show is based on novels by J. K. Rowling. In 2019, Holliday starred in the BBC thriller The Capture.

In June 2011, she was chosen for the main role of Estella in Great Expectations. She acted alongside Jeremy Irvine and Helena Bonham Carter. The movie was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2012. She also had a small part in the 2012 film Anna Karenina.
In 2015, Holliday played Cinderella's stepsister, Anastasia Tremaine. This was in Kenneth Branagh's movie version of Cinderella. In 2016, she starred in Disney's The Finest Hours.
In 2017, she appeared in Tulip Fever. In 2019, she played Laura in the film Animals.
Acting for a Cause
On June 20, 2016, for World Refugee Day, Holliday Grainger helped raise awareness. She appeared in a film for the UNHCR. The film, called Home, showed a family moving into a war zone. It was inspired by real stories from refugees. The film won a BAFTA Award and a Gold Lion at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Personal Life
Holliday Grainger has two children. She welcomed twins in May 2021 with her partner, Harry Treadaway. Harry Treadaway is also an actor and has a twin brother, Luke Treadaway.
