Hop is a fun 2011 3D movie that mixes live-action actors with animated characters. It's a comedy film made by Illumination Entertainment and released by Universal Pictures. The movie was directed by Tim Hill.

Hop came out on April 1, 2011, in the United States and the United Kingdom. It stars Russell Brand as the voice of E.B., the son of the Easter Bunny. E.B. doesn't want to deliver candy; he dreams of being a drummer! James Marsden plays Fred O'Hare, a human who is looking for a job and hopes to become the next Easter Bunny. Hank Azaria voices Carlos, a sneaky chick who wants to take over the Easter business. The movie was later released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on March 23, 2012.

Story of Hop

The movie's story begins on Easter Island, where a young talking rabbit named E.B. is supposed to become the next Easter Bunny. But E.B. is scared of this big job. He loves drumming and wants to be a musician instead. So, he decides to run away to Hollywood to follow his dream.

E.B.'s father, the current Easter Bunny, sends his special guards, the Pink Berets, to find him. Meanwhile, Carlos the Chick, who is the Easter Bunny's second-in-command, plans to take over the Easter factory.

E.B. Meets Fred

In Van Nuys, California, E.B. accidentally gets hit by a car driven by Fred O'Hare. Fred is out of work and house-sitting for his sister. E.B. pretends to be badly hurt, so Fred feels bad and takes him home to recover.

E.B. causes a lot of trouble at Fred's house. Fred tries to let him go in the wild, but E.B. convinces him to help. E.B. tells Fred he is the Easter Bunny, which reminds Fred of a time he saw the Easter Bunny as a child.

Drumming Dreams and Trouble

E.B. sees the Pink Berets getting closer to him. He hides inside a building where Fred is having a job interview. E.B. has a great time drumming with a band called The Blind Boys of Alabama. But his drumming ruins Fred's job interview!

Afterward, E.B. gets a chance to audition for David Hasselhoff's TV show. This makes E.B. very excited about his drumming career.

The Easter Pageant

Fred takes his younger sister, Alex, to her school's Easter pageant. E.B. hides in Fred's bag. E.B. gets scared when he sees shadows that look like the Pink Berets. He also doesn't like Alex's singing of "Peter Cottontail".

E.B. jumps out and messes up the show. To fix it, Fred pretends E.B. is a dummy for a ventriloquist act. They lead everyone in singing "I Want Candy". Fred's dad and Alex are upset, but Fred gets an idea: he wants to be the Easter Bunny! E.B. isn't sure, but he agrees to train Fred.

Carlos Takes Over

As the Pink Berets get closer, E.B. creates a fake rabbit to make it look like he died. He then leaves for Hasselhoff's show. The Berets find the fake rabbit and think Fred killed E.B. They capture Fred and take him to Easter Island.

Fred is held by E.B.'s father and Carlos. Carlos pretends to be sad about E.B.'s "death." He stops Fred from telling the truth and takes control of the Easter factory.

E.B. Returns

At the TV show, E.B. feels bad about leaving Fred. David Hasselhoff tells him to go back and help his friend. E.B. finds out Fred was captured and rushes back to the factory.

E.B. faces Carlos, but Carlos traps him in gummy candy and throws him onto a chocolate bunny making line. E.B.'s father and Fred are tied up with licorice and are about to be boiled. Fred eats through the licorice to escape, even though it tastes bad. E.B. survives by dodging the blades on the chocolate line.

Carlos, who has become a chick-bunny mix, fights E.B. He tries to leave with the Egg Sleigh, but E.B. starts drumming. His drumming makes Carlos's helper, Phil, dance uncontrollably. Phil gives the wrong signals, causing Carlos to crash.

New Easter Bunnies

After Carlos is defeated, he is made to pull the Egg Sleigh. E.B. says sorry to his father for being selfish. In the end, E.B. and Fred are both crowned as the new co-Easter Bunnies!

In a short scene after the credits, Fred delivers an Easter basket to a house in China. He tells E.B. that delivering baskets in China is hard because of talking rabbits. E.B. is surprised that Fred can speak Chinese.
