In 2020, the city had a population of 43,439 people. This was a big increase of 14% since 2010. This growth made it the fastest-growing city in Montgomery County over the last ten years.

History of Huber Heights

Huber Heights started as part of Wayne Township in the early 1800s. The area began to develop into a suburb in 1956. This was when a builder named Charles Huber started constructing many houses there.

The city is named after Charles Huber because of his important role in building the community. On January 23, 1981, Wayne Township officially became the City of Huber Heights. The city has continued to grow by adding more land, especially in Miami County.

Most of Huber Heights is located in Montgomery County. However, the city has expanded and now includes land in Miami County too. A small part of the city was once in Greene County, but that section was removed in 2013.
