Huechuraba (pronounced "weh-choo-RAH-bah") is a city and commune in Chile. It is located in the Santiago Province, which is part of the Santiago Metropolitan Region. Huechuraba was officially founded in March 1946.

Huechuraba has a mild mediterranean climate. This means it has warm, dry summers, usually from November to March. Temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius (95°F) on the hottest days. Winters, from June to August, are more humid. The typical maximum daily temperatures are around 12 degrees Celsius (54°F), and minimums are usually a few degrees above freezing.

According to a census taken in 2002 by the National Statistics Institute, Huechuraba covers an area of 44.8 square kilometers (about 17.3 square miles). At that time, it had 74,070 people living there. Out of these, 36,433 were men and 37,637 were women. The entire commune is considered an urban area, meaning it's a city with no rural parts.

The number of people living in Huechuraba grew quite a bit between 1992 and 2002, increasing by 19.9%. By 2006, it was estimated that the population had grown to about 82,200 people.
