Huntersville is a small community in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, nestled in the Alleghany Mountains. It is called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a special area defined by the U.S. Census Bureau for gathering population data.

In 2010, about 73 people lived in Huntersville. You can find it about six miles east of Marlinton and four miles west of Minnehaha Springs.

Huntersville got its name because it was a popular meeting spot for trappers and hunters. They would come here to trade animal furs for supplies. For a while, Huntersville was even the main town, or county seat, for Pocahontas County. But in 1891, people voted to move the county seat to Marlinton instead. Today, a local newspaper called The Pocahontas Times is still shared in the area.
