Starting Your Hike
To start your hike, you need to find the trailhead. This is the beginning of the hiking path. It's located at the end of Sawtooth National Forest road 203. This road runs along Hyndman Creek.
The Main Hiking Route
The main path to the top is about 6 miles (9.7 km) long. That's one way from the trailhead. The trail goes through a beautiful area called Hyndman Basin. This basin is surrounded by three peaks. These are Hyndman Peak, Old Hyndman Peak, and Cobb Peak. The path is not always perfectly clear. It follows an unmaintained trail. You will climb up to the saddle between Hyndman and Old Hyndman peaks. From there, you can reach the summit of Hyndman Peak.
