Ian Puleston-Davies (born 6 September 1958) is a Welsh actor and writer. He is well-known for playing the builder Owen Armstrong in the TV show Coronation Street. He was on the show from 2010 to 2015.
In November 2014, it was announced that Puleston-Davies would be leaving Coronation Street. His character left the show on 15 April 2015.

Early Life and Acting Start
Ian Puleston-Davies was born in Flint, a town in north Wales. He began his acting career appearing in many different TV shows.
He starred in the ITV drama Vincent with Ray Winstone. He also appeared in Ghostboat and played main roles in Conviction and the BBC Three series Funland.
Ian has been in many popular long-running dramas. These include EastEnders, Holby City, The Bill, Hollyoaks, and Brookside. He also made special appearances in shows like Hustle, Life on Mars, and Silent Witness.
Voice Acting and Recent Roles
In 2008, Ian Puleston-Davies lent his voice to a popular children's animated TV show. He was the voice of King Thistle in Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom.
From September to October 2010, he played Charlie Fisher in the sixth series of the BBC One drama Waterloo Road.
In 2010, Puleston-Davies joined Coronation Street as a regular cast member. He played Owen Armstrong until his character left the show in April 2015.
More recently, in January 2022, Puleston-Davies starred in The Teacher alongside Sheridan Smith. In 2023, he played Bob Pender in the TV mini-series Archie. This series was about the life of the famous film star Cary Grant.
Writing and Personal Experiences
In 2005, Ian Puleston-Davies helped write a drama called Dirty Filthy Love. This show was based on his own experiences with obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD is a condition where people have unwanted thoughts and feel a need to repeat certain actions.
Dirty Filthy Love won an award for Best Single Drama from the Royal Television Society. It was also nominated for a BAFTA Award, which is a very important award in British television.
Personal Life and Advocacy
Ian Puleston-Davies lives in Cheshire with his partner, Sue, and their two children, Maggie and Charlie. He is also the cousin of Russ Williams, a former World Champion kickboxer.
Ian supports several groups that help others. He is a patron of Red Dot Drama, an acting workshop group. He also supports the CALM Centre, a charity that offers counseling and therapy.
Puleston-Davies has openly talked about his personal struggles with obsessive–compulsive disorder. He even made a documentary for BBC Wales in 2017 about his experiences. He is an active patron of the national charity OCD-UK. He often speaks at their yearly conferences to help raise awareness and support for people with OCD.
