How Ichera Peak Got Its Name

Many places in Antarctica are named after people, places, or events from around the world. Ichera Peak is named after a small, peaceful settlement called Ichera. This village is located in the eastern part of Bulgaria. Naming a peak in Antarctica after a distant place helps to connect different parts of the world through geography and exploration.
