Ifeoma Chukwufumnaya Onumonu (born February 25, 1994) is a professional soccer player. She plays as a forward for Montpellier HSC in France. Before that, she played for several teams in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States. These teams included the Utah Royals, NJ/NY Gotham FC, Reign FC, Portland Thorns FC, and Boston Breakers.
Ifeoma also played college soccer at the University of California, Berkeley. Even though she was born in the United States, Ifeoma plays for the Nigerian national team.

Playing for Clubs
Ifeoma Onumonu has played for several professional soccer clubs. Here's a look at her journey through the teams.
Boston Breakers
After playing soccer in college, Ifeoma was chosen by the Boston Breakers in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. This meant she was one of the top players picked to join a professional team. In her first year, she played in 18 games for Boston.
Portland Thorns
The Boston Breakers team stopped playing before the 2018 season. Because of this, Ifeoma was picked by the Portland Thorns in a special draft. She played in eight games for them before moving to a new team in 2019.
Reign FC
In May 2019, Ifeoma joined Reign FC. She started as a temporary player. But she played so well that she earned a permanent spot on the team in June.
NJ/NY Gotham FC
Ifeoma was traded to Sky Blue FC (which later became Gotham FC) in January 2020. She played very well during the 2021 NWSL season. Because of her strong performance, she was named to the Best XI Second Team, which means she was one of the best players in the league that year.
In October 2022, Ifeoma signed a new contract with Gotham FC. This contract kept her with the team until the 2025 season.
Utah Royals
In December 2023, Ifeoma was traded to the Utah Royals. This move was part of a deal where Gotham FC received money for her transfer.
Montpellier HSC
In September 2024, Montpellier HSC in France announced that Ifeoma had joined their team. She moved there as a free agent, meaning her contract with her previous team had ended.
Playing for Her Country
Ifeoma has played for both the United States and Nigeria on the international stage.
United States Under-23 Team
Early in her career, Ifeoma played for the United States Under-23 Women's National Team. This team helps young players develop their skills for the senior national team.
Nigeria National Team
In June 2021, Ifeoma was called up to play for the Nigeria Women's National Team for the first time. She has since become an important player for them.
