Ingoldmells is a village and popular holiday spot on the coast of Lincolnshire, England. It is about 3 miles (5 km) north of the bigger resort town of Skegness.
Most homes in Ingoldmells are in the western part of the village. The nearby village of Addlethorpe is also to the west. Ingoldmells has many fish and chip shops and bars close to the beach. It is famous for its holiday parks with lots of caravans. The very first Butlins holiday camp was built here.

A Look at Ingoldmells' Past
The main church in Ingoldmells is called the Church of Saints Peter and Paul. It is a very old building, first built around the year 1200. Parts of the church were fixed up in the 1800s. Its tall tower was built in the 1300s. The wooden benches and the font (a basin for baptisms) are from the 1400s.
Ingoldmells became popular as a holiday place because of nearby Skegness. In 1936, the first Butlin's holiday camp opened here. It was right on the edge of Ingoldmells and Skegness.
During the Second World War, Ingoldmells had a special radar station called RAF Ingoldmells. This station used a spinning antenna to spot planes flying low. It helped warn people about enemy aircraft.

Fantasy Island: Rides and Markets
Fantasy Island is a large Amusement Park in Ingoldmells. It opened in 1995. The park has many different rides, attractions, and shows. It is home to Jubilee Odyssey, which is one of the biggest roller coasters of its kind. You can also find the Millennium Roller Coaster here.
Fantasy Island also has a huge outdoor market. It is one of the largest seven-day markets in Europe. The park also offers shops, restaurants, and places to stay for holidaymakers.
