Innerferrera (called Calantgil in Romansh) is a small village in the Hinterrhein district of the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It used to be its own municipality. However, on January 1, 2008, it joined with its neighbor, Ausserferrera, to create a new municipality called Ferrera.

Innerferrera is first mentioned in old records in the year 1556. Back then, it was known by the name Canicül.

Innerferrera covers an area of about 44 square kilometers (17 square miles). A little over 20% of this land is used for farming. About 12% is covered by forests. Only a tiny part (less than 1%) has buildings or roads. The rest, which is about 65%, is made up of non-productive areas like rivers, glaciers, or mountains.

The village is located in the Schams sub-district, which is part of the Hinterrhein district. It is a haufendorf, meaning it's an irregular, unplanned village with buildings packed closely together around a central area. It sits on a branch of the Rhine river. In 2008, Innerferrera officially merged with Ausserferrera to form the new municipality of Ferrera.

The large dam of the Lago di Lei is also located within this area, in the Valle di Lei.

In the 2007 national election, most people in Innerferrera voted for the SVP. This party received about 73% of the votes. Other parties, like the CVP, SPS, and FDP, received fewer votes.

Most adults in Innerferrera are well-educated. About 84% of people aged 25 to 64 have completed higher education. This means they finished either advanced high school or went on to a university.

Innerferrera has a very low unemployment rate, meaning almost everyone who wants a job has one. In 2005, some people worked in farming. There were also 17 people working in the manufacturing sector, and 5 people working in service industries.
