Isaac Bradley Humphries (born 5 January 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player. He is also a talented musician and performer. As of 2025, he plays for the Adelaide 36ers in Australia's top basketball league, the NBL.
Isaac has played for many teams in the United States and Australia. He is known for being very tall, standing at 7 feet (211 cm). He is also a singer and performs in shows, like at the Adelaide Fringe festival.

Early Life and Education
Isaac Bradley Humphries was born on 5 January 1998 in Sydney, Australia. He grew up in Cronulla, a beachside area. From a young age, Isaac loved music. He started playing the violin at four years old. He then learned the trumpet and later the piano. He was a performer on stages in Sydney even before he started playing basketball.
Isaac played rugby league for a while. He started playing basketball when he was 12 or 13 years old. In 2010, he lived in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, for six months.
He went to Scots College in Sydney. By the time he was 16, he had grown to 7 feet tall. Isaac was very thankful for the support he received at the school. He said it "changed my life."
College Basketball Career
After Scots College, Isaac went to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. In December 2014, he moved to the United States. He played prep basketball at La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana.
In 2015, Isaac joined the University of Kentucky basketball team. During his first year, he played in 23 games. He usually came off the bench, averaging 1.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
In the 2016–17 season, Isaac played in 38 games for Kentucky. He averaged 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds. In his last college game, he scored a career-high 12 points. This was against the North Carolina Tar Heels. He was also named to the NCAA All-Regional tournament team.
In April 2017, Isaac decided to enter the NBA draft. This meant he would not play his last two years of college basketball.
Professional Basketball Journey
Starting with Sydney Kings (2017–2018)
Isaac decided to become a professional player. He tried out with several NBA teams, like the Washington Wizards. However, he was not chosen in the 2017 NBA draft.
He returned to Australia and signed with his hometown team, the Sydney Kings. This was for the 2017–18 NBL season. With the Kings, Isaac played in 26 games. He averaged 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. He was named the NBL Rookie of the Year. This is a big award for new players!
Playing in Europe and the US (2018–2020)
In February 2018, Isaac played for FMP in Serbia. Later that year, he joined the Atlanta Hawks for a training camp. He then played for the Erie BayHawks.
In April 2019, the Atlanta Hawks signed Isaac for the rest of the 2018–19 season. After that season, he left the team. He also played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2019 NBA Summer League.
In September 2019, Isaac signed with the Orlando Magic. He was then sent to play for their G League team, the Lakeland Magic. For Lakeland, he averaged 8.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
First Time with Adelaide 36ers (2020–2022)
On 16 July 2020, Isaac signed a two-year deal to play for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL. In the 2020–21 season, he played very well. He averaged 13.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and led the league with 2.8 blocks per game.
He re-signed with the 36ers for the 2021–22 NBL season. However, he only played six games that season. A knee injury in February 2022 kept him from playing the rest of the year.
Time with Melbourne United (2022–2023)
On 22 July 2022, Isaac signed with Melbourne United for the 2022–23 NBL season.
Back to Adelaide (2023–Present)
On 26 April 2023, Isaac returned to the Adelaide 36ers. This was his second time playing for the team. The 2023–24 NBL season was one of his best. He played in all 28 games and averaged 15.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He was named the 36ers Club MVP (Most Valuable Player).
In March 2024, Isaac signed a new three-year deal to stay with the 36ers.
Playing for Australia
Isaac first played for Australia's junior national team in 2013. In 2014, he helped Australia win a silver medal at the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship. He played great, averaging 18.9 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game. He was even named to the All-Tournament Team.
He made his debut for the senior Australian national team in 2019. This was during a qualifying match for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He had a strong performance with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
Music Career
While playing basketball in the US, Isaac sometimes sang the American national anthem before games. He also sang at charity events. After focusing on basketball for some years, he started his music career again. He learned new instruments that he could play anywhere.
As of 2024, he continues both his basketball and music careers. He performs, writes, and releases his own music. In 2024, he was an ambassador for the Adelaide Fringe festival. He performed a show called Unearthed. This show was about sharing personal moments and songs that helped him discover who he is. The show included his own songs and cover versions, sung in his tenor voice. All his shows were sold out!
For the 2025 Adelaide Fringe, Isaac will perform a new show called More of Me.
Personal Life
Isaac has a tattoo on his arm that says "silence is loud." This refers to his experiences with depression. He is also good friends with Prinnie Stevens, who was also an Adelaide Fringe ambassador in 2024.
