Isaac Vorsah is a former professional footballer from Ghana. He was born on June 21, 1988, in Accra. Isaac played as a centre-back, which means he was a defender who played in the middle of the field.
He started his football journey in Ghana. Later, he became well-known for playing with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in Germany. Isaac also played for the Ghana national team, often called the Black Stars. Isaac Vorsah's Club Career
Starting in Ghana
Isaac Vorsah began playing football at a young age in Ghana. His first club was Oscar FC in Kpando. He then moved to another team called FC Maamobi.
In 2005, he joined Gamba All Blacks. His strong performances caught the eye of bigger clubs. In January 2007, he moved to Asante Kotoko, a very famous team in Ghana.
Playing for Hoffenheim
After playing for Asante Kotoko for six months, Isaac got a chance to try out for a German team, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. He did very well during his trial. Hoffenheim first took him on a loan deal until June 2008.
Because he impressed them so much, Hoffenheim decided to buy him permanently in April 2008. He signed a contract to stay with the club until June 2011. Isaac played for Hoffenheim for five seasons, from 2007 to 2012. During this time, he played in 110 league matches and scored 4 goals.
Time with Red Bull Salzburg
In August 2012, Isaac Vorsah moved to Red Bull Salzburg, a club in Austria. He played for them for a few years.
In 2015, he also played for FC Liefering, which is a team connected to Red Bull Salzburg. He left Liefering in 2016.
Moving to ASFAR
After leaving Red Bull Salzburg and Liefering, Isaac signed a new contract in January 2017. He joined ASFAR, a football club in Morocco. He signed a two-year deal with them.
Playing for Al Ohod
Later in 2017, Isaac Vorsah moved to Al Ohod, a club in Saudi Arabia. He signed a one-year contract with this team. He was even named in the "Team of the Week" in the Saudi Professional League in February 2018, showing his great skills.
Isaac Vorsah's International Career
Isaac Vorsah also had a successful career playing for his country, Ghana. He made his first appearance for the national team on August 21, 2007, in a match against Senegal. Before that, he had played for Ghana's under-23 team, known as the Black Meteors.
He was chosen to be part of Ghana's 23-player squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He played in the first game of the tournament. Although an injury kept him out of some matches, he recovered in time to play in Ghana's final game, which was the quarter-final.
Isaac also represented Ghana in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments: in 2010, 2012, and 2013. He played a total of 40 matches for Ghana and scored 1 goal.
International Goals
Isaac Vorsah scored one goal for the Ghana national team:
- On June 3, 2011, he scored a goal against Congo in Kumasi, Ghana. This goal helped Ghana win the match 3-1 during the qualifiers for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
