Isabella Indian Reservation (Arenac County), Michigan
Locations within Arenac County

The Isabella Indian Reservation is a special area of land in Michigan, in the United States. It is the main home for the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Nation. This tribe is officially recognized by the U.S. government.

Most of the reservation is in Isabella County. The tribe also owns smaller pieces of land in Arenac County. These lands are held "in trust" by the U.S. government. This means the government manages the land for the tribe's benefit.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe runs two fun places: the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant and the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino in Standish. These places help support the tribe and its members.

The tribe also works with the state of Michigan to help keep its members safe. They have an agreement that allows tribal police to enforce laws for their own members. This helps them manage safety within their community.
