Isaiah Wright (born January 13, 1997) is an American former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver, which is a player who catches passes. Isaiah played college football for Temple University. Later, he joined the Washington Football Team in the National Football League (NFL) in 2020. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Growing Up and High School
Isaiah Wright was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. He grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. He went to Kingswood Oxford School. There, he played football as a wide receiver and a defensive back. A defensive back helps stop the other team from scoring.
Isaiah was considered a "three-star recruit." This means he was a highly rated player coming out of high school. Many colleges wanted him to play for them. He first decided to play for Rutgers University. But he later changed his mind and chose Temple University.
College Football Journey
At Temple, Isaiah showed his skills in many ways.
- As a freshman, he ran for 232 yards. He also caught eight passes.
- In his second year, he caught 46 passes for 668 yards. He scored four touchdowns. He also ran the ball from a special "wildcat" position. This is when a player other than the quarterback takes the snap.
- His junior year was amazing! He caught 33 passes for 368 yards. He also ran for a touchdown. He was also great at returning kicks and punts. He returned 33 kickoffs for 873 yards and a touchdown. He also returned 19 punts for 249 yards and two touchdowns.
- Because of his great play, he was named a First-team All-American. He was also named the AAC Special Teams Player of the Year. This award goes to the best player on special teams.
- In his final year, he caught 47 passes for 442 yards. He scored five touchdowns.
Playing Professional Football
Isaiah Wright continued his football career after college.
Time with Washington Football Team
In 2020, the Washington Football Team signed Isaiah. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not chosen in the NFL Draft but was still signed by a team.
He played his first NFL game on September 13, 2020. This was against the Philadelphia Eagles. He played on special teams, which handles kickoffs and punts. Two weeks later, he caught his first four passes in an NFL game. He finished his first season with 27 catches for 197 yards. Washington released him from the team in August 2021.
Playing for Toronto Argonauts
In April 2022, Isaiah signed with the Toronto Argonauts. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played in five games for the Argonauts. He caught two passes for 26 yards. He also returned 10 punts and seven kickoffs. He was released by the Argonauts in September 2022.
