Jaboukie Young-White (born July 24, 1994) is a talented American comedian, actor, and writer. He is known for his stand-up comedy, his roles in movies and TV shows, and his work as a writer.

Early life
Jaboukie Young-White grew up in Harvey, Illinois. His parents came from Jamaica. He went to Marian Catholic High School, where he was active in speech and theater. Later, he attended DePaul University. There, he joined an improv comedy group called "The Titanic Players." Improv comedy is when performers make up scenes and jokes on the spot. He left college before finishing to focus on his comedy career.
Career
Starting Out in Comedy (2010s)
Jaboukie first tried stand-up comedy at an open mic night when he was 19. An open mic is a show where anyone can sign up to perform. He got his first paid stand-up job when he was 21. He performed in many clubs in Chicago and New York City. In 2016, he was a finalist at the NYC Devil Cup Stand Up Festival.
In late 2016, some of his online posts and memes became very popular. This means they were shared by many people very quickly. He became well-known on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine named him one of "25 Under 25" young people who were changing the world. The next year, Vulture magazine listed him as one of "20 Comedians You Should and Will Know." In 2020, he was on BET's "Future 40" list. This list celebrates 40 inspiring young Black leaders. Jaboukie has performed his stand-up comedy on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon two times.
Starting in 2018, he began writing for popular Netflix shows. These included the animated series Big Mouth and the comedy American Vandal. In October 2018, he joined The Daily Show as a correspondent. This meant he would report on news and current events in a funny way. He worked alongside host Trevor Noah and left the show in 2021.
In early 2019, Jaboukie was in talks to star in a movie with Bo Burnham and Amy York Rubin.
New Projects and Music (2020s)
In 2021, Jaboukie starred in the movie Dating and New York. He also appeared with Joaquin Phoenix in the film C'mon C'mon. He had a recurring role in the TV series Only Murders in the Building. He also voiced the main character, Truman, in the animated series Fairfax.
On June 10, 2021, it was announced that Jaboukie would work with Issa Rae and her company, Hoorae. They are developing a series for HBO based on a book. He will write and help produce this project.
On July 20, 2021, news came out that Jaboukie would write the script for an animated movie. This film is inspired by the music of the late rapper Juice Wrld.
In 2022, Jaboukie had a recurring role in Issa Rae's TV show Rap Sh!t. He also lent his voice to the Disney+ series Baymax!. He voiced the main character, Ethan Clade, in the Disney animated movie Strange World.
On September 30, 2022, Jaboukie released his first song, "BBC." He released it through Interscope Records under the name "jaboukie." He later released two more songs, "ROCKWHYLER" and "not_me_tho."
On August 1, 2023, jaboukie announced his first album, All who can't hear must feel. It was released on August 25, 2023.
