How Water Flows Through Jacksons Lake
Lakes like Jacksons Lake are part of a network of waterways. Water flows into Jacksons Lake from a small, unnamed creek. This is called an inflow.
The water then flows out of Jacksons Lake through another unnamed creek, which is its outflow. This outflowing creek is a branch of Little Skootamatta Creek.
The Journey to Lake Ontario
The water from Jacksons Lake continues its journey. From Little Skootamatta Creek, it flows into the Skootamatta River. The Skootamatta River then joins the larger Moira River.
Finally, the Moira River carries all this water into the Bay of Quinte. The Bay of Quinte is a part of Lake Ontario near the city of Belleville. This shows how even a small lake like Jacksons Lake is connected to one of the Great Lakes!
