Jahmi'us Ramsey (born June 9, 2001) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA G League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Jahmi'us Ramsey's Early Basketball Journey
Jahmi'us Ramsey started his high school basketball career in his hometown of Arlington, Texas. He played for Mansfield Summit High School during his first two years.
Moving to New Schools
For his junior year, Ramsey moved to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. This school is known for helping young athletes prepare for college. Playing there helped him get noticed by more colleges. For his senior year, he moved again to Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. He was a key player, scoring about 21 points and grabbing six rebounds per game. He helped his team win a big state championship.
Special Games and Recognition
Ramsey showed off his skills in special games for top high school players. In April 2019, he scored 15 points and had six rebounds at the Jordan Brand Classic. In May, he was named a co-most valuable player (MVP) at the Ballislife All-American Game.
Choosing a College Team
Many colleges wanted Ramsey to play for them. Experts like Rivals.com called him a five-star recruit, which is a very high rating. ESPN and 247Sports.com also rated him highly. In November 2018, he decided to play college basketball for Texas Tech. This was a big deal because he became the highest-ranked player ever to commit to Texas Tech.
Jahmi'us Ramsey's College Career
Ramsey quickly made an impact at Texas Tech. In August 2019, during a preseason game in The Bahamas, he scored an amazing 44 points. He also grabbed 12 rebounds in that game.
Making a Mark in College Games
In his first official college game, he scored 19 points. Later, he scored 27 points in another game, making five three-pointers. Because of his great play, he was named the Big 12 newcomer of the week in November 2019.
Awards and Achievements
Ramsey faced a small injury during his college season. But he still played very well. At the end of the season, he was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. He was also chosen for the Second Team All-Big 12. On average, he scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and had 2.2 assists per game. In April 2020, Ramsey decided to enter the 2020 NBA draft to become a professional player.

Playing for the Sacramento Kings
On November 18, 2020, the Sacramento Kings picked Ramsey as the 43rd player in the 2020 NBA draft. He signed a contract with them in December 2020. He played for the Kings until February 2022, when he was released from the team.
Time with the Oklahoma City Blue and Toronto Raptors
After leaving the Kings, Ramsey joined the NBA G League. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Blue team. In October 2023, he briefly signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder but returned to the Blue shortly after.
In March 2024, Ramsey got a chance to play in the NBA again. He signed two short-term contracts with the Toronto Raptors. After these contracts, he went back to play for the Oklahoma City Blue. In September 2024, he signed with Toronto again but was released in October.
Returning to Oklahoma City
On October 25, 2024, Ramsey rejoined the Oklahoma City Blue. He continues to play for them in the NBA G League.
