James Eddie Logan (born December 6, 1972) is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker for six seasons. He was part of the National Football League (NFL). His teams included the Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Oilers, and Seattle Seahawks. Logan also played college football at Jones County Junior College and Memphis State University. He was also a player for the Scottish Claymores in the World League of American Football (WLAF).

Early Life and Football Beginnings
James Eddie Logan was born on December 6, 1972. His hometown is Opp, Alabama. He started playing football in high school. He attended Opp High School in his hometown. Years later, in 2015, he was honored by the Opp Chamber of Commerce.
College Football Journey
Logan began his college football career at Jones County Junior College. He played there from 1991 to 1992. In his first year (1991), he played in ten games. He made many tackles and recovered two fumbles. As a sophomore, he continued to play very well. He made 136 solo tackles. He even scored a touchdown by returning an interception! He was recognized as one of the best junior college players. He also played track and field at Jones County Junior College. In 2014, he was honored by being added to the Jones County Junior College Sports Hall of Fame.
After junior college, Logan moved to Memphis State University. He played for the Memphis State Tigers in 1993 and 1994. In 1993, he played in all 11 games. He recorded 14 solo tackles and six sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the quarterback. In 1994, his senior year, he made 34 solo tackles. He also recovered one fumble.
Professional Football Career
After college, James Logan was not chosen in the 1995 NFL draft. However, he still got a chance to play professionally.
Houston Oilers and Cincinnati Bengals
He signed with the Houston Oilers on May 3, 1995. He played in three games for the Oilers that year. He made one solo tackle. Later, he was waived by the Oilers.
On October 18, 1995, the Cincinnati Bengals picked him up. He played in one game for the Bengals. Soon after, he was waived again.
Time with the Seattle Seahawks
Logan then joined the Seattle Seahawks on November 1, 1995. He played in six games for them in 1995. He also played in six games in 1996.
In 1997, Logan was sent to play for the Scottish Claymores. This team was part of the World League of American Football (WLAF). He had a great season with the Claymores. He made 37 tackles and forced two fumbles. He also had one interception and blocked a kick.
He returned to the Seahawks for the 1997 NFL season. He played in 14 games that year. He recorded two solo tackles and recovered a fumble. In 1998, he played in four games. He made 12 solo tackles and one sack. He was later placed on injured reserve.
Logan re-signed with the Seahawks in 1999. He played in all 16 games that season. He made 41 solo tackles and forced one fumble. He also played in one playoff game. In 2000, he played in all 16 games again. He recorded 18 solo tackles. After the 2000 season, he became a free agent.
