Jamie Barry Rivers (born March 16, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He used to play as a defence player. After his playing career, he became a coach and an executive. Today, he works as a sports broadcaster.
Jamie is a color commentator for the St. Louis Blues hockey games on Bally Sports Midwest. He also co-hosts a radio show called The Fast Lane on 101 ESPN radio in St. Louis. Jamie Rivers is from the Huron First Nations.

Jamie Rivers' Hockey Playing Days
Jamie Rivers was chosen by the St. Louis Blues in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 63rd player picked overall. Jamie's brother, Shawn Rivers, also played professional hockey for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Jamie played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for many years. He played a total of 454 games in the NHL. He also played for different teams in Europe. He even represented Canada in the 2009 Spengler Cup, which is a big international hockey tournament.
A Serious Injury and Recovery
In the 2010–11 season, Jamie was playing for a team called KHL Medveščak in Europe. During one game, he had a very serious injury. He hurt his spleen, which is an organ in your body.
After a few days, Jamie had to go to the hospital for emergency surgery. He had a lot of internal bleeding. His heart even stopped for a moment, but doctors were able to help him recover. This injury meant he could not play hockey for the rest of that season.
After his injury, Jamie moved back to St. Louis. He lives there with his wife, Shannon, and their four children: Karson, Ashton, Braydon, and McKinnon.
Jamie Rivers' Career After Playing Hockey
After he stopped playing hockey, Jamie Rivers became a coach. On September 17, 2012, he was named the head coach for the St. Charles Chill. This team was part of the Central Hockey League. The team played for one season before it stopped operating.
Jamie then started a career in broadcasting. On August 16, 2023, he became the main color commentator for the St. Louis Blues games on Bally Sports Midwest. Before this, he worked as a studio analyst. He would also fill in as a color commentator when the regular one, Darren Pang, was not available. He shared this role with Bernie Federko.
Jamie Rivers also co-hosts a radio show called The Fast Lane. He hosts the show with Anthony Stalter and Carey Davis, who is a Super Bowl Champion.
