Jamison Crowder, born on June 17, 1993, is an American professional football player. He is a talented wide receiver and also a return specialist, which means he's great at returning kicks and punts. Jamison played college football for the Duke Blue Devils. He was chosen by the Washington Redskins in the 2015 NFL Draft. He has also played for the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, and currently plays for the Washington Commanders.

Jamison Crowder grew up in Monroe, North Carolina. He was a star athlete at Monroe High School. He played football, basketball, and also competed in track and field.

In football, Jamison was a key player for three years. He helped his team achieve a great record and reach the state playoffs multiple times. As a junior, he scored 19 total touchdowns. In his senior year, he was named first-team All-State. He was also chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year for his conference.

Basketball and Track & Field

Jamison was also very good at basketball. He helped Monroe High win the 2010 1A state basketball championship. He was even named the Rocky River Conference Player of the Year in basketball.

College Football Career at Duke

Jamison Crowder played college football for Duke University from 2011 to 2014. He quickly became a standout player for the Duke Blue Devils.

Freshman and Sophomore Years

As a freshman in 2011, he played in all 12 games. He caught 14 passes for 163 yards and scored one touchdown. In 2012, his sophomore year, he became a starter. He had 76 catches for 1,074 yards and eight touchdowns.

Record-Breaking Junior and Senior Seasons

In 2013, his junior year, Jamison set an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) record. He made 108 catches for 1,360 yards and eight touchdowns. As a senior in 2014, he continued to shine. In his very last college game, the 2014 Sun Bowl, he tied the ACC's all-time record for most catches. He finished his college career with an amazing 283 catches. He also set a school record by returning five punt returns for touchdowns.

Jamison Crowder was drafted into the NFL in 2015. He was picked by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round.

Jamison signed a four-year contract with the Redskins. He made his NFL debut on September 13, 2015.

2015 Season Highlights

In his first year, Jamison caught his first NFL touchdown on November 15, 2015. He also had his first game with over 100 receiving yards. He set a new team record for most catches by a rookie, with 59 receptions. This broke the record previously held by Hall of Famer Art Monk.

2016 Season Success

The 2016 season was even better for Jamison. He scored his first touchdown of the season in September. He also had an exciting 85-yard punt return for a touchdown. This was the first time a Redskins player had done that since 2008. For this amazing play, he was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He had several games with over 100 receiving yards. He also reached 100 career receptions very quickly, becoming one of the fastest in team history. He finished the season with 67 catches, 847 yards, and seven touchdowns.

2017 and 2018 Seasons

In 2017, Jamison had a great game on Thanksgiving Day. He gained 141 receiving yards and scored a touchdown. He ended the season with 66 catches and three touchdowns. In 2018, he played in nine games, catching 29 passes for 388 yards and two touchdowns.

Time with the New York Jets (2019-2021)

On March 15, 2019, Jamison signed a three-year contract with the New York Jets.

2019 Season as a Jet

In his first game with the Jets, he caught 14 passes. This tied a team record for most catches by a wide receiver in a single game. He scored his first touchdown as a Jet in Week 9. He finished the 2019 season leading the team in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns. He had 78 catches for 833 yards and six touchdowns.

2020 Season and a Special Play

Jamison continued to perform well in 2020. He had several games with over 100 receiving yards. In Week 16, he even threw his first career touchdown pass! It was a 43-yard trick play to his teammate Braxton Berrios. He ended the 2020 season with 59 catches, 699 yards, and six touchdowns.

2021 Season

In 2021, Jamison played in 12 games. He had 51 catches for 447 yards and two touchdowns.

Short Stint with the Buffalo Bills (2022)

In March 2022, Jamison signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury in Week 4 and was placed on injured reserve.

With the New York Giants (2023)

Jamison signed with the New York Giants in March 2023. He was released by the team in August of that year.

Return to Washington Commanders (2023-Present)

On September 6, 2023, Jamison rejoined his former team, now called the Washington Commanders. He was first signed to their practice squad, then quickly moved to the active roster.

2023 and 2024 Seasons

In Week 6 of 2023, Jamison had a fantastic 61-yard punt return. This was the longest in the league that week, and he was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week again! He scored one touchdown in 2023. In March 2024, he re-signed with the Commanders. He was placed on injured reserve in October 2024 due to a calf injury but was activated in December 2024. In Week 16 against the Eagles, he scored two receiving touchdowns in a winning game.

Jamison Crowder's Personal Life

Jamison Crowder has a younger brother named Jamaris who was born with Down Syndrome. Jamison graduated from Duke University in December 2014. He earned a degree in sociology.
