Jason McCourty (born August 13, 1987) is a former American football player. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons. Jason played college football at Rutgers University. He was chosen by the Tennessee Titans in the 2009 NFL draft. McCourty also played for the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins. He won Super Bowl LIII with the Patriots. His twin brother, Devin, also played in the NFL. After retiring in 2022, Jason became a football analyst for NFL Network and Westwood One. He also provides commentary for college football games on CBS.

Professional Football Journey
Starting in the NFL
Jason McCourty was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL draft. He was the 203rd player chosen overall. He signed a four-year contract with the Titans in June 2009.
Jason started his first NFL season as a backup cornerback. He made his professional debut in September 2009. Due to injuries to other players, he became a starting cornerback in Week 4. He finished his rookie year with 30 tackles in 15 games.
Key Seasons with the Titans
In 2010, Jason became a full-time starting cornerback for the Titans. He recorded his first career interception against the New York Giants. He later broke his right forearm and missed four games. He ended the season with 47 tackles and two interceptions.
The 2011 season was a strong one for McCourty. He made his first career sack and forced a fumble. He also had two interceptions in back-to-back games. He finished with a career-high 103 tackles. In August 2012, the Titans signed him to a six-year contract extension.
In 2012, Jason started all 16 games. He had a career-high 15 pass deflections and four interceptions. One of his interceptions helped the Titans win a close game against the Buffalo Bills. Time with the Cleveland Browns

Winning a Super Bowl with the Patriots

Personal Life and Family
Jason McCourty has an identical twin brother, Devin McCourty. Devin was a Pro Bowl safety for the New England Patriots for 13 years. They are one of only 13 sets of twins to play in NFL history. They were also the first twin brothers to play in and win a Super Bowl together. This happened in Super Bowl LIII.
In 2019, Jason and Devin gave the commencement address at Rutgers University. They also received honorary doctorates from their old college.
Jason is married to Melissa McCourty. They have three children together.
