Detroit Lions (2020–2022)

Many experts thought Okudah was the best cornerback available in the 2020 NFL draft. The Detroit Lions picked him as the third overall player. On July 13, 2020, he signed his first NFL contract. It was a four-year deal worth over $33 million.

He got a hamstring injury during training camp and missed the first game of the season. He returned to play in Week 2. The next week, he made his first NFL interception. He caught a pass thrown by Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Later that season, he had surgery for a core muscle injury. This meant he was placed on injured reserve and missed the rest of the season.

In the Lions' first game of the 2021 season, Okudah suffered a serious injury. He tore his Achilles tendon. This injury ended his season early, and he was again placed on injured reserve.

Atlanta Falcons (2023)

On April 13, 2023, the Detroit Lions traded Okudah to the Atlanta Falcons. In return, the Lions received a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft. He played one season with the Falcons.

Houston Texans (2024–present)

On March 15, 2024, Okudah signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans. He was placed on injured reserve on September 11. He was activated and returned to play on November 18.
