Jeremy Andrew Bulloch (born 16 February 1945 – died 17 December 2020) was an English actor. He was famous for playing Boba Fett in the Star Wars movies. He appeared as Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). Later, he also had a small role as Captain Colton in Revenge of the Sith (2005).

His Early Life
Jeremy Bulloch was born in Market Harborough, England. His parents were Aziz and McGregor Bulloch. He had two older half-brothers.
From a young age, Jeremy loved acting and singing. He started acting when he was ten years old. He appeared in many Disney films, British TV shows, and plays.
Becoming an Actor
First Roles
When Jeremy was twelve, he got his first acting job in a breakfast cereal commercial. He then appeared in TV shows like Counter-Attack! and The Chequered Flag in 1960. He also had a regular role in The Newcomers from 1965 to 1967. When he was seventeen, he even played Hamlet on stage.
In 1962, he was in the musical film Summer Holiday with Cliff Richard. He also appeared in two Doctor Who stories: The Space Museum (1965) and The Time Warrior (1973). He also had small roles in three James Bond films. He played Smithers, an assistant to Q, twice.
Playing Boba Fett
Jeremy Bulloch is best known for wearing the costume of Boba Fett in the Star Wars movies. These were The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Even though Boba Fett didn't have much screen time, Jeremy's way of moving and his strong presence made the character popular.
The voice of Boba Fett was done by other actors. Jeremy's half-brother, Robert Watts, was a producer for The Empire Strikes Back. He needed someone to fit into the Boba Fett costume. So, he called Jeremy, who tried on the costume. It took about 20 minutes to put on.
Jeremy also played a small role without his mask in The Empire Strikes Back. He was an Imperial officer named Lieutenant Sheckil. He was the officer who grabbed Princess Leia.
Jeremy returned as Boba Fett for Return of the Ewok, a short fan film. He filmed his scenes for Return of the Jedi over four weeks. He was surprised when Boba Fett seemed to die in the movie. He would have liked to do more with the character. Jeremy said that wearing the Boba Fett costume was uncomfortable. The jetpack was very heavy.
Jeremy found inspiration for Boba Fett from Clint Eastwood's character, the Man with No Name. Both characters wear similar capes and hold their guns in a ready way.
In 2005, Jeremy appeared in a Star Wars film again after 22 years. This was Revenge of the Sith. He played Captain Jeremoch Colton. This character flew Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bail Organa, and Yoda to Coruscant.
Jeremy was also in the 2015 documentary Elstree 1976. This film showed the lives of some actors and extras from the original Star Wars movies. In 2021, he was featured in the Disney+ documentary Under The Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett. This special celebrated the history of the Boba Fett character.
His Life and Later Years
Jeremy Bulloch was married to Maureen Walker. They had two sons. He also had another son from a previous marriage. His half-brother, Robert Watts, was a producer for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films. Jeremy's son, Robbie, also acted in a TV show called Robin of Sherwood.
Jeremy enjoyed playing cricket and traveling. He was a fan of Star Trek.
After the Star Wars films became popular again, Jeremy was often invited to science fiction conventions. These are events where fans meet actors and celebrate their favorite movies. He became an honorary member of the 501st Legion in 2002. This is a group of Star Wars fans who dress up as characters. He even joined them as a costume-wearing member in 2009. In 2018, Jeremy announced he would stop attending conventions.
Jeremy Bulloch passed away on 17 December 2020, at the age of 75. He had been living with Parkinson's disease for many years.
