Jessica Lynn Sutta (born May 15, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. She was a member of the famous girl group The Pussycat Dolls. As a solo artist, Jessica Sutta has released two studio albums. These are Feline Resurrection (2016) and I Say Yes (2017). She also had four number-one songs on the US Dance Club Songs chart. This made her the only former Pussycat Dolls member to reach the top of an American chart.
Before her music career, Sutta was a cheerleading captain for the Miami Heat NBA team. She also had a few acting roles. These included the films Bully (2001) and From Justin to Kelly (2003). She also appeared in the TV show Ocean Ave. (2002–2003).

Early Life and Dance
Jessica Lynn Sutta was born in Miami, Florida. Her family had both Catholic and Jewish backgrounds. She started taking dance classes when she was three years old. Later, she attended the Miami City Ballet and the New World School of the Arts. She was 14 when she went to these schools to improve her dance skills.
When she was 17, Sutta injured both of her knees. She thought her dance career was over and switched to theater. However, after a lot of physical therapy, her knees healed. In 1999, Sutta joined the Miami Heat cheerleading squad. By 2001, she became the captain of the team.
Music Career Highlights
Early Acting and The Pussycat Dolls
In 2001, Jessica Sutta started her acting career. She appeared in the crime drama film Bully. From 2002 to 2003, she played Jody in the TV show Ocean Ave.. In 2003, she was Nadine in the romantic comedy film From Justin to Kelly.
After moving to Los Angeles to work as a dancer, she met choreographer Robin Antin. Robin asked her to join The Pussycat Dolls. Other members included Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt. The group became very successful around the world. They had hit songs like "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu", and "Buttons". Their first album, PCD (2005), sold millions of copies. Their second album, Doll Domination (2008), had hits like "When I Grow Up" and "Jai Ho!".
Even with their success, there were problems within the group. The focus was often on Nicole Scherzinger, which made other members feel less important. In February 2010, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, and Melody Thornton left the group. The Pussycat Dolls then broke up.
Solo Music Success: Albums and Chart Toppers
On September 19, 2010, Sutta released her first solo song, "I Wanna Be Bad." The music video was shown on MTV. In 2011, she signed with Hollywood Records. She then released "Show Me" on August 23. This song became number one on the US Dance Club Songs chart. This was a big achievement for her.
In 2012, she worked on her first album, called Sutta Pop. However, she was later dropped from Hollywood Records, and the album was not released. She still hopes to release it someday.
In 2013, she signed with Citrusonic Stereophonic. She released two songs, "Again" and "Lights Out." Both songs reached the top 5 on the US Dance Club Songs chart. In 2014, she signed with Premier League Music. She released more songs, including "Candy" and "Let It Be Love."
On June 9, 2016, she released her first mixtape, Feline Resurrection. It was available for free download. This album included five earlier songs and twelve new ones. On March 3, 2017, she released her second album, I Say Yes. This album included the song "Distortion," which became her fourth number-one hit on the US Dance Club Songs chart.
The Pussycat Dolls Reunion
On November 29, 2019, The Pussycat Dolls announced they were getting back together. On February 7, 2020, they released a new song called "React." They also performed it live on The X Factor: Celebrity. The group planned a world tour with 36 shows. However, these plans were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The group ended their reunion in 2021.
In 2021, Jessica Sutta took a break from her music career. She became a mother.
Personal Life
From 2012 to 2014, Jessica Sutta dated Australian TV presenter James Tobin. In 2016, she met drummer Mikey Marquart. They got married on September 14, 2019, in Malibu. In May 2021, Jessica Sutta gave birth to their son, Michael Jesse.
Supporting Good Causes
Jessica Sutta supports gay rights. In December 2010, she appeared in a YouTube video for the LGBT company FCKH8. In 2016, Sutta helped raise money for Susan G. Komen L.A., an organization that supports breast cancer research. She also performed at San Francisco Pride. There, she honored the victims and families of the Orlando nightclub shooting.
