Ashley Allyn Roberts, born on September 14, 1981, is a talented singer, dancer, and TV personality. She was a key member of the famous girl group The Pussycat Dolls. This group sold over 55 million records around the world. This made them one of the most successful female music groups ever.

After her time with The Pussycat Dolls, Ashley also had a short career as a solo singer. She released an album called Butterfly Effect in 2014.

Ashley has also hosted many TV shows. These include Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (2013–2016) and 1st Look (2016–2018), which was even nominated for an Emmy Award. More recently, she hosted The Real Dirty Dancing UK (2022) and Dance Monsters (2022–present). She has also appeared as a contestant on popular British reality shows. These include I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (2012) and Strictly Come Dancing (2018).

Since 2019, Ashley has been a showbiz reporter for the national Heart Breakfast radio show. She also became a presenter for Heart 00s in 2022. This is another radio show from the Heart network.

Early Life and Dance Beginnings

Ashley Roberts was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States. She went to Shadow Mountain High School. Her dad, Pat Roberts, used to be a drummer for the famous band the Mamas & the Papas. Her mom, Peggy Lorraine, teaches Pilates.

Ashley started dancing when she was just three years old. She began singing when she was eight. When she was a teenager, Ashley had brunette hair.

Joining The Pussycat Dolls

In 2001, Ashley moved to Los Angeles to study modern dance. She appeared in many TV commercials and music videos. Some of these videos were for popular songs like Counting Crows' "Accidentally in Love" and Pink's "Trouble".

In 2003, a choreographer named Robin Antin saw Ashley's work. Robin asked Ashley to join a new girl group called The Pussycat Dolls. Other members included Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, and Jessica Sutta.

The group quickly became very famous worldwide. Their hit songs included "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu", and "Buttons". Their first album, PCD (released in 2005), sold millions of copies. During this time, Ashley also acted in a dance movie called Make It Happen. The group's second album, Doll Domination (2008), had more hits like "When I Grow Up" and "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)".

Even though they were very successful, there were some problems within the group. The focus was often on Nicole Scherzinger, which made the other members feel less important. Because of this, Ashley and other members left The Pussycat Dolls in February 2010, and the group broke up for a while.

Solo Music and TV Appearances

After leaving the group, Ashley released a solo song in 2010. It was a cover of "A Summer Place". She then took a break from her career for two years. She traveled to follow a spiritual teacher named Mata Amritanandamayi.

In 2012, Ashley signed a record deal and released her first solo single, "Yesterday". In November of that year, she joined the British reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. She did very well and finished as the runner-up.

From 2013 to 2014, Ashley was a judge on the dance and figure skating show Dancing on Ice. She also started working as a TV presenter. She hosted parts of the variety show Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway from 2013 to 2016. In 2014, she also presented WWE Legends' House.

Ashley released her first solo album, Butterfly Effect, in the UK on September 1, 2014. Two songs from the album, "Woman Up" and "Clockwork", were released as singles.

In 2016, Ashley left Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. She then joined NBC to host the travel show 1st Look from 2016 to 2018. This show was nominated for an Emmy Award. In 2018, Ashley competed on the popular BBC dance show Strictly Come Dancing in the UK. She made it to the finals!

In 2019, Ashley became the showbiz reporter for the Heart Breakfast radio show. She also made her debut in West End musicals. She played the role of Dawn in the musical Waitress.

The Pussycat Dolls Reunion and Recent Work

On November 29, 2019, The Pussycat Dolls announced they were getting back together! They released a new song called "React" on February 7, 2020. They performed it live on The X Factor: Celebrity. The group planned a big world tour with 36 shows. However, the tour had to be canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reunion officially ended in 2021.

In 2020, Ashley appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox. This British show features people watching and reacting to TV programs. In 2022, she hosted the British reality show The Real Dirty Dancing UK. Since 2022, she has also been a presenter for the Netflix dance show Dance Monsters and the Heart 00s radio show.
