Joseph "JoJo" Ward (born December 9, 1997) is an American professional football player. He plays as a wide receiver, which means he catches passes from the quarterback. JoJo Ward played college football for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. He has also been a part of several professional teams, including the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns.

Early Life and High School
JoJo Ward grew up in Waco, Texas. He went to Midway High School. During his senior year, he was a star player. He was even named the best offensive player in his district. This showed everyone how talented he was at football.
College Football Journey
JoJo Ward started his college football career at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. He played there for two seasons. During that time, he caught passes for over 1,000 yards. He also scored nine touchdowns, which are big plays that earn points.
In July 2018, JoJo joined the University of Hawaii team. He started as a "walk-on," meaning he wasn't given a scholarship right away. But he quickly proved himself.
Amazing Plays at Hawaii
Before the 2019 season, JoJo Ward was put on the watchlist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. This award goes to the best offensive player from Texas. In the second week of the 2019 season, he had an amazing game. He caught ten passes for 189 yards. Even more impressive, he scored all four of Hawaii's touchdowns in that game against Oregon State. For this great performance, he was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week.
During his two years at Hawaii, JoJo Ward played in 28 games. He caught 116 passes for nearly 2,000 yards (1,999 yards to be exact!). He also scored 20 touchdowns. These numbers show he was a very important player for the team.
Professional Football Career
After college, JoJo Ward was not chosen in the 2020 NFL draft. This means he was "undrafted." However, he still got a chance to play professionally.
NFL Teams
On April 25, 2020, JoJo signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He spent some time with their practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team but aren't on the main roster. He later signed a future contract with them. In August 2021, he left the Cardinals.
Shortly after, in August 2021, JoJo Ward signed with the Cleveland Browns. However, he was with the team for only a very short time before being released.
Other Leagues
JoJo Ward then joined the Houston Gamblers. This team is part of the USFL, which is another professional football league. He was drafted by them in 2022. He was on their inactive roster for a bit but later moved to the active roster. He left the Gamblers in April 2023.
In April 2023, JoJo signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). However, he was released by the team during their training camp in May 2023.
