Joseph "JoJo" Ward (born December 9, 1997) is an American professional football player. He plays as a wide receiver, which means he catches passes from the quarterback. JoJo played college football for the University of Hawaii. He has also played for several professional teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Gamblers, and Ottawa Redblacks.

JoJo's Early Life and High School Football
JoJo Ward grew up and went to Midway High School. While he was a senior there, he was named the best offensive player in his district. This showed he was a very talented football player from a young age.
College Football Career
JoJo started his college football journey at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. During his two years there, he caught passes for over 1,000 yards. He also scored nine touchdowns, which are points for his team.
In July 2018, JoJo joined the University of Hawaii team. He joined as a "walk-on," which means he wasn't given a scholarship right away.
Amazing Plays at Hawaii
Before the 2019 season began, JoJo was put on the watchlist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. This award goes to the best offensive player from Texas.
In the second week of the 2019 season, JoJo had an incredible game. He caught ten passes for 189 yards. Even more amazing, he scored all four of Hawaii's touchdowns against Oregon State. Because of this great performance, he was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week.
Professional Football Journey
After college, JoJo Ward hoped to join the NFL.
Arizona Cardinals
In April 2020, JoJo signed with the Arizona Cardinals. This was after the 2020 NFL draft, where teams pick new players. He was later moved to the team's practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team but don't play in games yet. He stayed with the Cardinals until August 2021.
Cleveland Browns
In August 2021, JoJo signed with the Cleveland Browns. However, he was with the team for only a short time before being released.
Houston Gamblers
In 2022, JoJo was chosen by the Houston Gamblers. This team is part of the United States Football League (USFL). He was on the team's inactive roster for a while, meaning he wasn't playing. Later, he was moved back to the active roster. He left the team in April 2023.
Ottawa Redblacks
In April 2023, JoJo signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). However, he was released by the Redblacks during their training camp in May 2023.
