Jo Martin (born 29 April) is a British actress. She is known for playing Natalie Crouch in the BBC One show The Crouches from 2003 to 2005. In 2019, she joined the cast of Holby City as neurosurgeon Max McGerry. Jo Martin also played a special version of the Doctor called the Fugitive Doctor in Doctor Who.

About Jo Martin
Her Early Life
Jo Martin was born in Newham, London. Her mother was from Jamaica and passed away in 2015. Jo went to Portway Primary School and then Plashet All Girls Secondary School.
Becoming the Doctor
Jo Martin first appeared in the series 12 episode "Fugitive of the Judoon". She played a character named Ruth Clayton, who was a tour guide. Later, it was revealed that Ruth was actually a secret version of the Doctor! This version is known as the Fugitive Doctor.
Many people really liked Jo Martin's performance as the Doctor. She played the role again in the series finale, "The Timeless Children". She also appeared in "Once, Upon Time" from Doctor Who: Flux, and in the 2022 special "The Power of the Doctor".
Soon, Jo Martin will star in a new audio drama series. It's called The Fugitive Doctor Adventures and will be made by Big Finish. This series will tell more stories about her character.
Other Acting Work
In November 2020, Jo Martin was part of a project called Tales from the Front Line. This was a series of short films by Talawa Theatre Company. In one film, Jo played a teacher. She talked about how teachers and students tried to stay safe during the pandemic. She also spoke about the feelings caused by the global Black Lives Matter movement. People said her acting felt very real and natural.
