Meet the Main Characters
King Stupid: Master of Mischief
King Stupid is the main character and the boss of all things silly. He is played by Marcus Brigstocke in the first series and Phil Cornwell in the second. The King lives forever and loves to cause stupidity everywhere.
He has special files on every human. Using a super advanced computer, he can make people act in really silly ways. King Stupid lives in his castle in the Etherworld. This is a magical place where things are often upside-down.
The Etherworld and Its Rulers
The Etherworld is a special place where many "Deed Monarchs" live. Each monarch rules over a different part of human behavior. Besides King Stupid, there's Queen Sensible, King Angry, Count Cruel, and King Wonderful. They all have their own unique personalities.
This world is also home to many mythical creatures. You might find ogres, imps, banshees, witches, and boggarts living there.
Goober: The Annoying Butler
King Stupid has a gremlin butler named Goober, played by Rusty Goffe. Goober is purple and often annoys the King. King Stupid sometimes calls him a "bog house rat." Goober often tries to make the King's life difficult.
The King usually gives Goober boring jobs, like going to the supermarket or taking out the rubbish. The funny love-hate relationship between King Stupid and Goober is a big part of the show. Their adventures often have a small story that gets solved by the end of each episode.
Other Funny Characters
The show features many other recurring characters in its sketches. Some of these include Devil Finger!, Court Casey, and Sarah. You might also see Jas, Jeff, and Box Boy. Other memorable characters are Gotta Go Joe and Time Team Archie. Frank Boffin, Invisible Ian, and the Scout Leader also appear. Karen Jackson, Grandma, and 'Your Face' Graham add to the fun. Mr. Steven, the Dinner Lady (played by Miranda Hart), and Neil Bell are also part of the cast. The Red Wall family, Matty, Makeover Mandy, Penny, Mr Quiver, Alan, Mark Dence, Vince, the ice cream man, and Sid also make appearances.
