Jordan Raney (born June 2, 1996) is an American water polo player. She is a key member of the United States women's national water polo team. Jordan has helped her team win many gold medals in major international competitions.
College Water Polo Career
Jordan Raney played water polo for Stanford University. She was a big part of the Cardinal team that won two NCAA Championships. These national college titles were in 2015 and 2017. In 2018, Jordan was recognized as one of the best college players in the country. She earned a spot on the 1st Team All-American list.
International Water Polo Career
Jordan joined the Senior National Team in 2017. Her first big win with the team was the FINA World League Super Final. She is known as a strong defender in the game.
Jordan also plays water polo professionally. She started her professional career in Greece with NC Vouliagmeni. She played alongside other Team USA teammates there. Currently, she plays for Greek team Olympiacos Piraeus. With Olympiacos, she won the 2021–22 LEN Euro League in 2022.
Jordan trained full-time with the U.S. team for two years. Her goal was to compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Even though she worked very hard, she did not make the final team roster for those Olympics.
In 2022, Jordan was a top scorer for Team USA. She scored 12 goals at the 2022 FINA World League Super Final. She was also named to the Media All-Star Team at that event. At the 2022 FINA World Championships, Jordan scored 5 goals for Team USA.
