About Jordan Sonnenblick

Jordan Sonnenblick was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He grew up in Staten Island, New York. When he was in high school, he worked as a tutor. He also spent his summers as a camp counselor.

In 1994, after finishing college, he got married. He and his wife moved to Pennsylvania. Today, he lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with his family. He often visits schools across the United States. Sometimes, he even travels internationally to talk about his books.

Jordan's Writing Journey

Before becoming a full-time writer, Jordan Sonnenblick was a teacher. He taught 5th grade in Houston, Texas, for three years. Then, he taught 8th grade English in Hackettstown and Phillipsburg, New Jersey, for eleven years.

He stopped teaching to focus on writing books. His very first novel, Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie, was inspired by a student. That student's brother was battling cancer. Jordan has always wanted to be an author. He also enjoys playing musical instruments like the guitar, drums, and bass.

As of 2023, he had published 14 books. He continues to write exciting stories for young readers.
