Mijoshki Antwon Evans, known as Josh Evans, was an American football player. He was born on September 6, 1972, and passed away on February 4, 2021. He played as a Defensive tackle in the NFL.
Josh Evans' Football Career
Josh Evans started his football journey playing college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He was a key player for his college team, starting games for four years.
Joining the NFL
In 1995, Josh Evans joined the Houston Oilers. He was signed as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the NFL draft but was still picked up by a team. He stayed with the team when they moved and became the Tennessee Titans.
Super Bowl Appearance
In 1999, Josh Evans and the Titans had an amazing season. They made it all the way to Super Bowl XXXIV. Josh was a starter in this big game. However, his team lost to the Kurt Warner-led St. Louis Rams.
Later Career
After playing for the Titans, Josh Evans signed with the New York Jets in 2002. He played his final three seasons in the NFL with the Jets.
