Playing College Football

Time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After college, Josh joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. He wasn't drafted, which means teams didn't pick him in the main draft, but the Buccaneers still signed him as a free agent.
He spent time on the team's practice squad. This is like a training team where players can practice and be ready if the main team needs them. He even got to play in one game in October 2020. Josh was part of the Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl LV, which is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL).
Playing for the BC Lions
In 2022, Josh Pearson signed with the BC Lions, a team in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The CFL is similar to the NFL but played in Canada.
He made his first CFL appearance in June 2022. In his next game, he scored his first touchdown for the Lions! This happened on a long pass from his teammate, Nathan Rourke.
