Juan Ramon Masoliver (1910–1997) was a Spanish art critic, essayist, and translator. He was a very important person in the Surrealist art movement in Catalonia, Spain. He helped start a Surrealist magazine called Helix in 1929, working with famous artists like Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel.
Masoliver lived in Paris in the 1930s. During this time, he became friends with the famous writer James Joyce. He also worked as a secretary for another well-known writer, Ezra Pound.
