Juliana Couto Paes (born March 26, 1979) is a famous Brazilian actress and former model. She became well-known across Brazil for her roles in popular TV shows called telenovelas and for her work as a model. She also acted in a local version of the musical The Producers, where she played the character Ulla.

Juliana Paes is an actress and model who also has a university degree. She became famous for her roles in the "soap operas" (telenovelas) shown on Rede Globo, a big TV network in Brazil.

She has starred in many commercials for brands like Colorama and Hope. She has also been the face of the shoe brand Arezzo and the jewelry brand Vivara.

First Main Roles

Juliana's first time playing the main character, or protagonist, was as Maya Meetha in the Brazilian telenovela Caminho das Índias. This show won an Emmy award in 2009.

In 2012, she starred in an episode of the series As Brasileiras. She also played the main role in the remake of Gabriela (2012 TV series), which won an Emmy award in 2016.

Later TV Successes

In 2014, Juliana played Catarina in the TV show Meu Pedacinho de Chão. In 2016, she played the villain Carolina in the telenovela Totalmente Demais, which was nominated for an Emmy in 2017.

In 2017, she worked with writer Glória Perez again, playing Fabiana Escobar, also known as Bibi Perigosa, in the telenovela A Força do Querer. This show was very popular and her character received many awards from critics. In 2019, she took on another lead role as Maria da Paz in A Dona do Pedaço.

Juliana Paes' Personal Life

Juliana Paes was born in Rio Bonito, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is the oldest of four children. Her parents are Regina Couto and Carlos Henrique Paes.

On September 9, 2008, she married businessman Carlos Eduardo Baptista. They had their first son on December 16, 2010. In late 2012, Juliana announced she was expecting her second child. Their second son was born on July 21, 2013.

Juliana is a big fan of football. She has publicly shared that she supports the Vasco da Gama team.
