Early Life and Family
Justin Fletcher was born in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. His father, Guy Fletcher, is a songwriter who has written songs for famous artists like Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard. Justin has three sisters and one brother.
He studied drama at the Guildford School of Acting. During his final year, he was inspired by TV presenter Phillip Schofield to work in children's television.
Career Beginnings
After graduating, Fletcher created a video called a showreel to show off his acting skills. This video, called Justin Time, featured two of his own characters: Anna Conda and Arthur Sleep. These characters later appeared in his CBeebies show, Gigglebiz.
His first job on television was on the show Fun Song Factory for GMTV. He worked alongside another presenter, Dave Benson Phillips. Before that, he had also acted in a stage version of the show Playdays.
Working with the BBC
CBeebies Star
In 1999, Fletcher started working for the BBC. He voiced the characters Jake and Doodles in the popular show Tweenies. He was also a presenter on the programme Tikkabilla. This led to another show called Higgledy House, a comedy where he starred with Sarah-Jane Honeywell. This show introduced the world to his famous character, Mr. Tumble.
Fletcher has also provided voices for many other CBeebies shows. These include Boo!, Finley the Fire Engine, ToddWorld, Shaun the Sheep, and Timmy Time.
In 2008, CBeebies showed three new pilot episodes created by Fletcher. Viewers could choose which one would become a full series. The winning show was Gigglebiz, a sketch comedy show featuring many of Fletcher's characters.
Something Special
Fletcher created the show Something Special through his own production company. He presents the show and uses Makaton sign language. This helps children with communication difficulties to join in and learn. The show and its main character, Mr. Tumble, are very popular.

In 2011, CBeebies launched Justin's House. This fun-filled show is set in Justin's fictional house and is filmed in front of a live audience of children. It also stars Steven Kynman as Robert the Robot and Jane Deane as Dee Livery. The show is known for its songs, games, and messy slapstick comedy.
Other Projects
